Back “home” at the Gold Coast
December 16th, 2009 by Lisa
The circle is closed.
I’m back again at the Gold Coast to start building the fondation for the 2010 season. Last year it worked well, even with the three months injury and time off running. Or maybe thanks to that… This year I’m hoping for months of uninterupted training at its best. Pain, challenges and good times. Pain times are good times…as they say. Coming back here really feels like coming home. I had my bike here waiting for me. A big bag containing all sorts of stuff (everything from sunscreen and shoes to hairdryers. Essential stuff that makes me feel like home
As I have no real base these small things helps to creat a feeling of home. Also picking up the phone having friends to call, and a swim squad where I just can slip down in the water and continue where I left.
Well, maybe not really exactly where I left looking at the times. I know I have some tough sessions ahead of me before the fitness will come back. Still I really do enjoy all of that.
I really do love this sport.
And I love places with sun, beaches and happy people.
