Improve shape while travel and race…
July 10th, 2010 by Lisa
I had a wee taste of how it feels to be fit and enjoying racing again.
Being on the podium in Athlone was great.
Feeling like my body is getting stronger -even greater.

Getting Spirig with Champange = GREATEST!
The challenge I face now is how to keep improving the fitness while squeezing in two World Championship Series races… It’s easy to get fitter and faster while staying on a training base wacking out some crazy sessions. It’s more difficult checking in and out of airports resting up for races.
After a good chat to coach Darren the other day we made up a plan where the main focus is on the later races. The Kitzbühel WCS and of course the big grande finale in Budapest. But that means I need to keep training and maybe lower my expectations a bit for the next two races. That means Hamburg and London. Probably the of the most competitive races on the calendar. Races where you have girls like Snowsill, Moffat, Jenkins, Hewitt all gunning for it… I’ll be giving it my best – but I’ll keep my long term focus.
I’ll be trying to squeeze in some good sessions in and around the races.
I’ll try not too eat too much food.
I’ll most def have to stay away from the afterpartys…
BUT, a slow start means a strong back end of season. Maybe I should consider just to keep racing.
After Budapest there are races like Huatulco and Phuket…
Races where you get umbrella drinks and white beaches for recovery…
Maybe I’ll be ready for some butt kickin’ Â in October
