The normal life of a 25 year old travelling triathlete
February 1st, 2010 by Lisa
In the “big move” yesterday I had two bags and one bikebag+bike. Or, that wasn’t actually even my bike as the new specialized isn’t expected until tomorrow. It’s not much of a life. Any normal 25 year old would have needed a trailer, some friends and a promisse of pizza night to get their stuff over.

Shopping for kitchen utensils
In a normal life of a 25 year old travelling triathlete you buy your kitchen utensils at the Salvo’s.
You live in a house with 4 couches, 5 chairs but no table.
You rave about the wardrobe in your room as it’s nice to unpack all of your clothes.
You go to McDonalds to pick up free wireless as it is too expensive to install only for 3 months.
You sleep with the eye cover collected from the Quantas flight as it’s hard to sleep when your roommates wakes up hungry at midnight and makes toast in the kitchen.
It’s a different kind of life. But it is also quite a lot of fun! And I’m looking forward to the next three months training and living with Vicky and Sara. On sunday we will have our first dinner guest over, Ms Barbara Riveros. She had a nasty cycling accident some weeks ago (when I was back home in sweden) and is still struggling with her shoulder. As most of the other people in the squad will be up racing at Sunshine Coast we though we would make sure to have some fun as well. And that will also give us a test run for the official house warming party!
