Win in 19. Zytturm triathlon 2012 in Zug

Last night provided a different scenery,

the beautiful ZUG old town, a turquoise colored lake – and a super hard double sprint triathlon race.

The 19. Zytturm Triathlon.

300m swim – 6km bike – 2km run – 300m swim – 6km bike – 2km run

It’s short and fast and includes plenty of pain, lactate and useful technical training in terms of transitions.

The race went well and the body gave me the indications I so badly was looking for.

I stayed together with Swiss Olympian Daniela Ryf and training partner and 2012 World Series Bronze medalist Sarah Groff for most of the race. Out on the second bike I squeezed it a little bit and managed to get a gap. It worked, it got bigger and I managed to hold it for the run.

Followed the flowers and presentation was a beautiful warm down on my bike along the lake, a salty pretzel, a presentation and a very enjoyable 25 deg warm swiss sunny evening.

And the two our drive back to Davos for a late night arrival.

I have half a week of conintuned work ahead of me – then another car drive and another race.

This time the KitzbĂĽehl ITU World Triathlon Series race.
