WTS Auckland around the corner

It’s two and a half year since I sat before the cameras at the Cloud in Auckland last time.

Back then there was a lot of nerves involved and a World Title on the line.

At the time I didn’t know the amount of drama that was going unfold before that title eventually was going to become mine and wrap up my year.

Probably a good thing in hindsight.

Yesterday the press conference was less tense and more enjoyable for me.

I’m liking to be back in NZ (it has been very good to me so far) and it’s good to be here with Darren and most of the squad. The focus is on the process – not the outcome and I have a list of things I have to do well tomorrow. The course is tough and will prove challenging on the bike. Something I really appreciate with this race, any race really that has them attributed (more please !).

The women’s race will start at 12:50pm local time on Sunday, March 29, while the men open their WTS season later in the day at 3:40pm local time.
